Following a disastrous technical failure and the death of one of the crew, the remaining crew find themselves unable to communicate with Earth. Instead, they continue their mission, reaching Europa’s orbit and landing on the icy moon. The crew probe the ocean beneath the ice, but the probe receives a heavy dose of radiation from the depths of the ocean. It is then impacted by an unknown object and contact is lost.
