It begins fictionally, with thugs harassing and attempting to kill him on a bus. Then, he begins to tell his true story of similar harassment throughout his youth, up to adulthood, fighting back and winning for justice. After which, the story returns to fictional present-day Oakland, CA, and the voyage continues with the main character walking through ‘the hood’, addressing very real issues in the life of a present-day Black African Warrior-King in the United States and eliminating them.
