When his father decides that it’s time for tough love he refuses to pay his tuition fees, so Van Wilder becomes a professional party thrower. At the same time, Gwen Pearson (Tara Reid) who writes for the college paper is tasked with doing a story on Wilder, though he is too busy partying for that. She instead decides to write it using information from people who talk about him but ends up writing an unflattering piece, which doesn’t make him happy.
