His manager, Bao Jin (James Wong), has no choice but to fix the situation so he sets Dong a challenge for his next novel. He dares him to go further into the unknown realm so he can compose a more believable book. Yan Dong begins his search of spirits and ghosts in a monastery, where he mets a mysterious girl, Shan Shan (Mindee Ong), who triggers his curiosity. Unexplainable events begin to transpire which disturbs Dong profoundly, especially as he has discovered something about Shan Shan – a secret that is too gruelling to grasp.
