During a dark and stormy night, the Black Raven becomes the gathering place for escaped convict Whitey Cole (I. Stanford Jolley), bank clerk Horace Weatherby (Byron Foulger), and young elopers Lee Winfield and Allen Bentley (Wanda McKay and Robert Livingston). Before the night is over, greed and murder rear their ugly heads. Comedy relief is provided by Charles Middleton as the county sheriff and Glenn Strange as a lumbering lummox.
