He proposes that the only way they can regain their former wealth and influence is uniting under a strong leader. As the now deceased mob boss ‘Big Morgan’ was their greatest leader, Doc Rogers, his lieutenant, decides to bring in Big Morgan’s son, Edward ‘Baby Face’ Morgan (Richard Cromwell), to lead the united gangsters.
Rogers tells the gang members that ‘Baby Face’ Morgan is now in charge, and is a cold-blooded killer. Joe Torelli (Ralf Harolde), who thinks he should be the leader of the gang, is suspicious of the new set-up after the protection money starts to roll in, and nobody sees it after it is turned over to Rogers, who tells them that ‘Baby Face’ is handling the dough.
