Her persecutors end her life by throwing her into the bottomless pits of the remote Djupkista waters in the Dunderland valley. In the years to follow, numerous horrendous events and tragedies strike the valley. More than three hundred years later, a young theatre director, Laura (Miriam Prestøy Lie), arrives in the Dunderland valley. Together with an ensemble of actors, she will put on a play at an abandoned camp. Everything changes, however, when the star actor disappears.
