After being handed a secret map, Richard, along with his new friends, Etienne (Guillaume Canet) and Francoise (Virginie Ledoyen), travel to a secluded, mystical paradise, known as ‘The Beach’. Once the initial excitement fades away, however, Richard and his two travelling companions eventually find that their new home is everything but perfect.
